After reading the script she recorded her initial session with a professional. Jonathan Glassner says that her stunt team was pleasantly surprised by her performance in the first lesson. Jessica had never been in a major role before in the US because all of her filmography was in Australia. Jessica is able to fully play the role of a strong woman thanks to her love of action, her mixed martial arts expertise and her riding horse, guns and weapon skills in addition to her athletic abilities. Jessica is a boxer who has been trained, muay Thai and a mixed martial artist. Jake Stormoen was on his Season 4 set when he met a wandering dog. The one dog turned out to belong to a litter of stray puppies who were able to take housing in the sets. Jessica accepted two of the puppies.
